RETURN TO TRAINING – MILNERTON CRICKET CLUB
After many months of waiting, various meetings, discussions, a risk assessment and training done by Jacques Marais we have finally been granted approval to reopen the nets.
The following members received covid training and have been appointed to assist:
Dewald Myburgh – Compliance Manager
Then the following as compliance officers:
Robbie van Harte; Garth West; Jadin Cloete; Gavin Armstrong; Kevin Silver
One of these members will be in attendance at every training session / match. We request that members strictly adhere to the relevant covid regulations and also to assist our compliance officers to ensure the MCC adheres to all the regulations and that MCC will not be the cause of the spread of this virus.
Thus, the following guidelines will be in place for training:
Please register as a member on this site – With this please ensure that your membership registration fee is paid of R350 (R100 of this will go to your membership of Milnerton Sports Centre). Payment can be made to:

Please ensure that you use you name / surname as reference
If for any reason you need to discuss a payment plan for the above please email Gail. Also please complete the indemnity form as well as the risk assessment which needs to signed by every member before being allowed on the premises.
Once the above has been completed you will be issued with a membership card.
Captains and coaches can book sessions for training on this site. The following options are available: Tuesdays and Thursday – 16h50 to 17h50 and 18h00 to 19h00. Training to commence with effect from Tuesday, 3 November 2020.
Only 4 nets will be open with a maximum for 6 per net including 1 coach.
Each Captain / Coach will be responsible for ensuring all regulations are adhered to. The Captain / Coach will need to book online and only the players that have been booked for a session will be allowed to attend.
Players need to report to the nets where they will go through a screening process and will need to complete the register. Please wear a mask at all times.
If you have any symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has had the virus please do not come to practise and advise your Captain / Coach immediately.
- Sanitize regularly
- No sharing of personnel equipment and bring your own ball
- Adhere to safe distancing before, during practice and after practice.
- Come to practise ready to train
- No spectators are allowed at practices and matches.
Friendly matches, as approved by WPCA prior to every match, may be played from 1 November 2020. League matches will commence in January 2021 with One day matches and Ama 20 matches being played. The season may be stretched into April 2020 depending on the fixture commitments.
